I am involved in a new research project inspired by my interest in integrating artificial intelligence into dentistry. My primary focus is on developing a deep learning model that can accurately classify periodontal disease progression using dental radiographs. To achieve this, I am building a strong foundation in Python and mastering the complexities of convolutional neural networks. My responsibilities include acquiring the necessary skills to preprocess and analyze large datasets. I will also design the model architecture and train the model. Under the guidance of my mentor, I am also working towards obtaining IRB approval to access human radiographs.
